Convex Technology Series
様々なバーン、地形を従来の2Dボードよりもスムースでより自由にライディングの幅を広げるコンセプトのもとに生み出された技術。 開発スタッフの長年による経験、工場による徹底的な材料管理、開発努力によって製品化。3D構造はより複雑な作りゆえ、芯材となるコアは雪山という低温地域での変形・剥離が発生しやすいという問題を抱えていた。変形は湿度調整のもとベストな状態で管理された材料を、通常のボードよりも多くの時間をかけじっくりと完璧なプレスを行うことで解消。現在ではプレス機も第5世代までアップデート、より安定したプレスを実現。T.Jが毎シーズン3Dシリーズにこだわりを持って採用し続けてきたWood topは通常のトップシート材に比べ、年輪から割れやすいという弱点があったが、ABS + Resin cureにより強化、完成度も格段に上がった。1本1本にじっくり時間と愛情をかけて生み出されるボードは量産には向かず、貴重で特別な1本となっている。

パウダーボードのシュートボード革命を起こした名機、THE R-MASTER。R(壁)では他のボードとの違いをはっきり体感することが出来る。全体を通してコンベックスになっているボトムはRでの引っかかりを防ぎ、自在の角度で侵入し、素晴らしい抜けを実現。極端にテイルの短いサーフライクな滑りが沢地形からツリーランまでクイックな動きを発揮。サイドカーブは小さく倒し込めばクイックに、浅く入れればノーズの3D形状が入りを遅らせるため、大小のターンを描くことができるのも特徴的。もちろん短いレングスながらディープパウダーで大きな浮力を発揮し、スプーン形状になった大きなノーズはコンベックスボトムになっているので雪をかき分け、スピードロスをすることもない。マンネリ化したスノーボードがまた楽しくなる、マジックボード。

このモデルのディレクターである神森正義をはじめ、加治秀之、中尾正明、太田宜孝等のフリースタイラーからの支持が高いモデル。BANKED SLALOMのシーンにおいても早くも結果を出しているDHINGIはT.J CREWの誰もが1本は持っておきたいと語るモデル。1920シーズンより金型は151から155cmへと変更。ノーズとテイル幅を2mm太くし、ウエストも250mmに。サイドカーブは8.07mrへと弧を大きく変更し、ノーズの3Dの深さを2/3に、テイルは3Dを廃止し2D形状へと改良しハイスピード時のコントロール性を向上した。これらの改良で浮力を維持しビッグバーンでのスピードを向上させ、テイルの改良でランディングの安定感をプラス、ターン後半での抜けやスピードロスがなくなった。小さいターンから大きなターンまで、幅広いシチュエーションで楽しめる。マウンテンフリースタイルボードとしての要素を存分に詰め込んだモデル。

雪の多い21/22シーズン大活躍したのがこのDRAFT、佐久間洋、豊田貢等が愛用し、太田宜孝もYOU TUBEで多用しているモデル。19/20モデルで新しく改良した金型はノーズの3Dの深さを約2/3に、そして3D区間を58mm短く、テイルの3Dの深さを約1/2に、そして3D区間を98mm短くしました。これらの変更によってボトムのフラット区間を156mm延長されています。従来の3Dを活かした浮力とファジーさを残しつつ、ターン後半までしっかりとホールドするカービングまでをも堪能できる板へと変貌を遂げ、よりハイスピードに、縦へ横へと突っ込んでいける板になりました。WOODCOREは軽量X-WOODとPOPLARのミックスコアに、ウエスト周辺部分のウッドコアベース側にDOT HOLEを多数削り、そこにフォームを入れるという非常に手間のかかるウッドコアPUNCHING DOT HOLE WOODCOREを採用、フォームをウエスト周辺にX状に入れることでノーズとテイルの張りを保ちながらウエスト周辺に集中的にトーションの緩さとフレキシブルさを持たせ、足裏感覚がダイレクトにボード捌きに繋がりカービングからトリッキーな動きまで自由自在なDRAFT。フレックスは柔らかいですが、ワイドモデル独特のハイスピード時の安定感も備わっています。

従来のFTC-PD core1の加え、太田宜孝のリクエストにより、彼がメイン機としているCRUISERで使用しているP.A.C mixcoreをDRAFTに採用した高レスポンスモデルDTAFT P.A.C.が21/22モデルよりラインナップに加わりました。元々、テイルの3Dによる抜けを防ぐためにフレキシブルに改良されていった従来モデルでしたが、一昨年前の金型変更によりグリップ力が増した現行モデルではテイル抜けが改良されたため、ハイスピードに耐えるよりタフで高レスポンスなP.A.C.モデルを用意、アーチ状に伸びた足元のカーボンがターンの侵入から抜けまでしっかりとしたホールド感を維持し反応の良いリズムを生み出します。

コラボレーションモデルのウッドコアにも弊社独自開発となる新技術F.T.C-P.D core 2(Flex & Torsion control Punching Dot core 2)を搭載。軽量芯材X-woodとPoplarから成るミックスコアにウエストを中心にドットホールをX状に貫通させ、フォームを埋め込んだ。これによってもともとタフなフレックスときついトーションになりがちな3D構造のボードにウエスト周辺のフレックスや反応を低減させることで、今までの3Dボードでは成し得なかったソフトなフレックスと緩いトーションをもたらせることに成功。また、Bonzar Bottom周辺が3Dコアになっているために、今までテイルを緩くすることに悩まされたが、同じくテイル付近にも多数の穴を開けフォームを注入することでテイルの抜けが非常にサーフライクかつナチュラルな乗り味を実現した。あらゆる地形に合わせ気持ち良いスノーサーフィンを楽しめる。

スノーボードで滑っていて気付くのは、スノーボーダーのラインとスキーヤーのライン（滑るポイントを含む）が違うと言う事。Napoleon Fish 158cmは、Powder滑走時における "BoardのFeeling" を得るために "Short・Fat・Stylish" をキーワードにOutlineを考えた。そしてスノーボードで滑るときのようなラインを描くということにフォーカスし作り出されたスキーである。Outlineは、Surf BoardのようにStylishで、Napoleon Fishのような操作性を求めた結果、In Edge, Out EdgeをAsymmetry（非対称）にする事でこの形となった。レングスはSnowboardでパウダーを滑る時に選ぶ板の長さを基準に調整。Skierから「短くないですか？」と良く質問されるが、短いからこそ機動性に優れきわどいトラバースラインや尾根の複雑な地形などにも対応でき、尚かつコンパクトな地形も楽しめる。また、乗りこなす事で広い斜面やハイスピードのターンも気持ちよく安定して滑る事が出来る。そして、パウダーでの浮力を得るため全体的に ファットな仕上がりにした。スノーボードの感覚を取り入れた "Shot Fat Ski" と言う新しいカテゴリーのスキー。スキーヤーはもちろん、昔スキーをしていたボーダーに是非体験してもらいたい。

The length is adjusted based on the length of the board you choose when riding the powder on the Snowboard. Skier often asked me like, "Isn't it too short?", But just because it's short makes very mobile and can handle complicated terrain such as traverse lines and ridges, and you can enjoy compact terrain as well. you can ride comfortably and stably even on wide slopes and high-speed turns since you are good at managing for it. Also, I made it a fat finish as a whole to get buoyancy with powder. Again, a new category of ski called "Shot Fat Ski" that incorporates the feeling of snowboarding. History of T.J Brandというに相応しいモデル。当時まだT.JがTwelve snowboardsの1シリーズとしてリリースされていた頃、2003年にT.Jシリーズとして初のオリジナルモールドによるシェイプ、Option Factory (カナダ) madeの "T.J 162 P.T" がリリース。その後このモデルは2005年にAct Gear Factory (日本)へと生産拠点を移し、若干のシェイプ修正を経てモデル名を "THE DAY" へと改名しリリース。そして2009年T.JシリーズがTwelveからT.J Brandとして派生したタイミングにリリースされたモデルが最後となり一つの役割を終えた。その後様々なオリジナルシェイプやコンセプトをシーンにリリースし続けてきたT.J Brand。当時からサイクルは周り新たなT.J Ambassadorも増え、ビッグマウンテンライダーの台頭もあり今一度このモデルへの復刻を望む声も囁かれ始めた。そして遂に2021モデルで "ORIGIN" として11年ぶりに復刻を遂げた。

158cmはどんなコンディションでもコレさえあれば安心の1本と言えるモデル。THE DAYほどの見た目のインパクトはありませんが、非常に完成度の高いモデルです。THE DAYよりも全体的に細く、Taperedも控えめに。まさに「THE DIRECTIONAL」オールテレインボードに相応しい形状です。フリーライドはもちろん、パウダーからカービング、ジャンプ、荒れたバーンまでも安定した滑走性を発揮します。トータルバランスに優れ、全てにおいて高いパフォーマンスを発揮するニュースタンダードボードです。
